- The Type 1 Diabetes Exchange Quality Improvement Collaborative (T1DX-QI) collects information from over 50 participating facilities in the United States, including NYU Langone, on patient care for people with type 1 diabetes. Indicators assessed include:
- Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) prescriptions and use
- Monitoring of HbA1c
- Access to diabetes technology among racial/ethnic groups
- Mental health screening in both adult and pediatric clinics
- Clinic visit frequency in Medicaid-insured youth
- Hospitalizations for diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Follow-up attendance after DKA hospitalizations
- Comorbid conditions such as COVID-19
