NYU Dataset
The Food Journal Project (FJP)
UID: 10420
- Description
- This dataset contains dietary information collected from 83 children aged 8-12 from two New York City public schools in partnership with Common Threads. Chinese-American students were identified by surname (n=22) for comparison with non-Chinese peers (n=61). Participating students completed two short surveys and dietary assessments between January and June 2017 at 6-month intervals. The dietary assessments included food diary and interview with NYU SOM study staff. Interview questions were derived from the Automated Self-Administered 24-Hour (ASA24) Dietary Assessment Tool. The Health Eating Index 2010 (HEI-2010) was used to calculate standardized scores for childrens’ diets based on the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
