In addition to the aggregate reports available in the NYC Open Data repository, the NYC Department of Education (DOE) provides linkable individual-level administrative datasets to qualified researchers. These datasets include students in grades K - 12 who are enrolled in New York City public schools and school staff. Data may be requested by year or series of years.
Below is a listing of datasets that are currently available for request:
- Audited Register: Enrollment demographics
- June Biographic: End-of-year demographics
- Testing Results: Advanced Placement, PSAT, SAT, ELA and Math, NYSESLAT, NYS Science, NYS Social Studies, Regents

- Researchers are required to request data through the NYC Department of Education (DOE) and must be approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB). All data requests are reviewed by the Data Request Committee and must be submitted through the DOE's electronic submission platform, IRBManager. Data requests require the completion of a Non-Disclosure Agreement and can take 4 - 6 weeks to process.
