NYU Dataset
Unique dynamics and exocytosis properties of GABAergic synaptic vesicles revealed by three-dimensional single vesicle tracking
Part of: Oxytocin U19 BRAIN Initiative |
UID: 10426
- Description
- This dataset contains x, y, and z trajectories of single GABAergic synaptic vesicles that we obtained by labelling GABAergic synaptic vesicles with streptavidin-coated QDs to commercially available biotinylated antibodies against the luminal domain of the vesicular GABA transporter (VGAT) and tracking the real-time three-dimensional position of single GABAergic synaptic vesicles up to the moment of exocytosis (i.e., fusion) during the electrical stimulation in inhibitory presynaptic terminals of living primary hippocampal neurons labelled VGAT-CypHer5E. Using these three-dimensional trajectories, they investigated the dynamics and exocytosis properties of single GABAergic synaptic vesicles during 1200 electrical stimuli (10Hz) starting from 20s.
