Description
This dataset was created as part of a prospective review of somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) recordings obtained during intraoperative monitoring (IOM) on instrumented spinal surgeries that were performed for chronic underlying neurologic and neuromuscular conditions, including scoliosis, myelopathy, and spinal stenosis, on patients who did not exhibit any postoperative neurologic deficits. For all patients, the tibial nerve SEP was followed during IOM, and for surgeries involving level L5 and lower, peroneal nerves were also monitored. The dataset includes information on 524 consecutive patients, aged 8 to 84, who underwent surgery at NYU Langone Health between January 1, 2010, and December 31, 2010, including a total of 1048 tibial traces and 546 peroneal traces.
