- The Press Ganey National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators® (NDNQI®) provides quarterly and annual data on structure, process, and outcomes of nursing care. It is used by 2,000 hospitals nationally and is the largest provider of unit-level performance data to hospitals. It contains data on hospital acquired conditions and adverse events including catheter-associated urinary tract infections, central line-associated blood stream infections, patient falls, pressure ulcers, and ventilator-associated pneumonia and events. NDNQI also contains data on RN job satisfaction, RN education and certification, nurse turnover, and practice environment for over 300,000 nurses.

- To access NDNQI, please contact Nancy Dunton at the University of Kansas School of Nursing. The University of Kansas School of Nursing employs a co-investigator model for data sharing and only has the capacity to share data if one of their faculty members is a co-investigator on the project. Interested parties should contact the University early in the development of their project to ensure that there is an interest for collaboration from one of the faculty members there. Data is not available to graduate students at this time.
