World Trade Center (WTC) Health Registry
UID: 10096
- Description
The WTC Health Registry is an ongoing epidemiological cohort study created as a public health response to 9/11. The Registry includes multiple waves of surveys that are conducted approximately every 3 years. A fourth follow-up survey (Wave 5) was completed between 2020 and 2021. Data is available for:
- Wave 1 Adult Survey (2003-2004)
- Wave 2 Adult Survey (2006-2008)
- Wave 3 Adult Survey (2011-2012)
- Wave 4 Adult Survey (2015-2016)
- Wave 5 Adult Survey (2020-2021)
In each wave, participants answered a series of questions about where they were on 9/11, their experiences on that day, and their current health status. Survey respondents include people who lived, worked or went to school in the area of the WTC disaster, or were involved in rescue and recovery efforts.
