- Description
 - The TeleQuit MH dataset was collected for a type-II hybrid effectiveness-implementation study that evaluated a smoking cessation telephone care program for mental health patients in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The primary objectives were to evaluate the adaption, implementation, and maintenance of the smoking cessation program; determine its effectiveness at long-term abstinence; and compare outcomes of the VA telephone counseling to state-run quitlines. The study enrolled 577 mental health patients at six VHA facilities across the United States. Each participant was received follow-up visits at two and six months after enrollment. The research team collected quantitative clinical effectiveness data (e.g., self-report via surveys) and quantitative and qualitative implementation data.
