- Description
- The DREAM (Diabetes Research, Education, and Action for Minorities) Project is a community-based participatory research study designed to improve diabetes control and diabetes-related health complications among Bangladeshis living with Type 2 diabetes in New York City. A pilot intervention was conducted in 2010 (non-randomized), followed by a full intervention from 2011 to 2016. The pilot intervention lasted 6-months, and data was collected at baseline and 6-months. A total of 47 individuals were consented into the pilot study. Full intervention data is complete for 6 rounds; the final round will be complete at the end of 2016. For the first five rounds, 3-month data survey data was collected. For the intervention group, 12-month follow-up data was collected. A total of 337 individuals consented to the full intervention.
