This data was part of an ecological momentary assessment (EMA) study to better understand the process by which psychological stress is linked to the development of hypertension. Data was collected in 2016 in New York City from 163 normotensive and untreated hypertensive subjects. Subjects underwent electronic diary-based assessment of daily stress exposure and rumination, as well as actigraphy and ambulatory BP monitory for 14 consecutive days.
